Australia Day 2015 History, Significance, Importance : 26 Jan of every year is celebrated as Australia day. It is celebrated every year irrespective of which day of the week it will occur. 26 Jan is considered as a special occasion for the whole nation and hence it is celebrated as a national Holiday. People in Australia go to events, parks, festivals and do fun with their family members.

Australia Day 2015 History : 

History behind 26 Jan as Australia day is really great. It is considered as first landing in Australia by Caption Arthur Phillip.  So this day is considered as National pride since then.

Australia Day 2015 Significance and Importance :

People in Australia consider 26 January as national pride day and hence celebrate it in the same manner. They attend festivals, parties, functions, watch shows with their families. Also, there is a ceremony on 26 Jan called Citizenship ceremony. In this ceremony, many people become the citizen of Australia. Award Distribution ceremony is also made by the Government of Australia.
Some of the major awards given on Australia Day are : 

  • Australian of the Year 
  • Senior Australian of the Year 
  • Young Australian of the Year 
  • Australia’s Local Hero
There are lot of other events that are celebrated on Australia day. And this is the day where whole Australia becomes just dedicated to their nation and enjoy along with their families.
